Senior Production Operative – PM Shift
Role Overview
As a Senior Operative, you will play a key role in supporting the Production Team Leader, overseeing the PM shift, and ensuring smooth operations across production, quality control, and safety compliance. This position demands strong organizational skills, leadership, and attention to detail to drive efficiency and maintain high standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support the Production Team Leader with administrative tasks, SAP management, and shift coordination.
2. Conduct effective shift handovers and lead start-of-shift meetings.
3. Facilitate short interval control discussions to monitor progress and resolve issues promptly.
4. Organize and motivate the team to achieve daily production targets.
5. Perform quality checks on labels and finished goods to ensure compliance with standards.
6. Minimize waste and optimize efficiency while maintaining product quality.
7. Report EHS concerns, near misses, and accidents, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
8. Secure and lock the site at the end of the shift.
Operational Duties
9. Prepare raw materials and packaging, verifying weights, types, and batch numbers.
10. Operate equipment according to process instructions for smooth material handling.
11. Perform product quality control and make necessary adjustments per procedures.
12. Ensure strict compliance with work instructions, safety regulations, and quality standards.
13. Conduct initial product testing and release, ensuring no deviations.
14. Monitor finished goods for appearance and packaging quality.
15. Maintain clean machinery and work areas, ensuring proper upkeep.
16. Manage training documentation and ensure compliance with all legal and company EHS policies.
Qualifications & Skills
17. Knowledge of chemical mixing and production processes.
18. Strong math and English skills.
19. Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office.
20. High school diploma or GED equivalent.
21. Minimum 3+ years as Production Operator II or 5+ years in an industrial environment.
22. Ability to read and interpret work orders, safety regulations, and quality procedures.
23. Flexibility to work shifts and adapt to business needs.
Preferred Qualifications
24. Counterbalance FLT certification.
25. First Aid certification (advantageous).
