Rate of Pay:
£15.00 -£15.50 per hour
Overtime available paid at £22.50 - £23.25
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled TIG/MIG Welder to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding various metal components, ensuring high-quality standards are met. Responsibilities
Perform TIG and MIG welding on a variety of materials, primarily sheet metal and fabricated components
Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete tasks efficiently and accurately
Read technical drawings and specifications to ensure precise fabrication and assembly
Assist in the fabrication process by cutting, shaping, and assembling metal parts using appropriate tools
Conduct quality checks on welded components to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and project specifications
Qualifications
Proven experience in TIG welding; MIG welding experience is also desirable
Strong knowledge of welding techniques specific to welding standards
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic fabrication processes
Mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints
Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication tasks
Experience working with sheet metal and assembly processes is preferred
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality welds
