About This Role
This is an exciting opportunity at Ormiston Chadwick Academy that requires enthusiasm, passion, and a strong drive to help our students achieve their best. We are looking for an enthusiastic Teacher of Design Technology and Engineering from September 2026 to join our supportive, highly organised and ambitious Design and Technology department. You can be at any point in your teaching career; you will be committed to supporting and developing the teaching of Design Technology and Engineering so that students of all abilities enjoy their learning and are motivated to succeed. The successful candidate will need to be a qualified teacher, able to deliver consistently good and better lessons across the Academy’s age groups.
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about Design Technology and Engineering, maintains high expectations of learning, achievement, and behaviour, and contributes to whole school improvement. They should inspire students and make a positive contribution to our ethos and values. Our Design and Technology department aims to nurture and inspire students to become confident mathematicians who can compete with anyone, anywhere.
Ormiston Chadwick Academy opened in Widnes in September 2014 serving West Widnes. Our Academy offers an outstanding curriculum and a strong community ethos in which all students are known and nurtured to achieve their potential.
