Credit Rating Senior Manager
London or York
Circa £95k for York and up to £120k for London
Are you someone who has a good understanding of credit ratings across several types of assets and experience working in Corporate credit within an asset manager, rating agency, or financial institution?
Aviva is building out its internal credit rating team within the IWR Finance Function. This role will work closely with colleagues from the Annuity Asset Origination, Chief Investment Officer, and Aviva Investor teams, depending on the asset class. The internal credit rating team reports into the IWR Actuarial Reserving Lead, supporting the UK IWR Chief Actuary, who has regulatory responsibility for the internal credit ratings used.
A bit about the job:
Assessment and development of new and existing internal credit methodologies to ensure compliance with the UK IWR Credit Rating Policy and relevant regulatory requirements. This involves reviewing methodologies, conducting assurance testing, and presenting findings to expert judgement panels and committees responsible for approving internal credit ratings.
Additionally, you will conduct annual reviews of Aviva's internal and external asset managers, perform deep dive reviews as proposed by the IWR Actuarial Reserving Lead, and provide assurance on operational controls and governance, recommending improvements as needed.
Skills and experience we're looking for:
* Good understanding of credit ratings across various asset types
* Relevant undergraduate degree in economics, finance, accounting, or related field
* Solid understanding of credit analysis fundamentals
* Strong knowledge of credit rating methodologies
* Experience working in corporate credit within an asset manager, rating agency, or financial institution
