SR2 are looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager to join a major public sector programme aimed at bringing together multiple services into a single, user-friendly product. The work covers both outward-facing services for users and internal-facing tools that support data and content management.
As Senior Product Manager, you will take ownership of defining the vision, strategy, and delivery approach for a key product within the programme. You will balance user needs with organisational objectives, ensuring that the service delivers measurable value. Working closely with policy colleagues, delivery teams, and senior stakeholders, you'll be responsible for driving the product through its lifecycle and embedding strong product management practices across the team.
Key Responsibilities
Define and communicate the vision and strategy for your product, ensuring alignment with programme objectives.
Manage the product backlog and roadmap, prioritising features and improvements based on user needs, evidence, and value delivered.
Lead product delivery through the full lifecycle – from discovery to live – using appropriate methodologies and approaches.
Use insights from user research and data to inform decisions, measure outcomes, and drive continuous improvement.
Engage with and influence policy stakeholders and senior leaders, translating policy intent into actionable product decisions.
Support the development of business cases, value propositions, and communications for your product.
Mentor and support junior product managers and colleagues, encouraging reflective practice and capability growth.
