Fram Search is working with a well-established financial services business that is looking to engage with a Reconciliations and Payments Analyst. This is a key role within the operations function, focused on ensuring the accuracy of internal and external reconciliations, processing payments, and contributing to the wider governance framework through the production of management information.
The position plays a vital role in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements relating to client assets and money, and would suit someone with a strong understanding of operational risk, controls, and the FCA’s CASS framework. The successful individual would be involved in performing daily reconciliations, monitoring for breaks and discrepancies, processing payments, and helping to support internal oversight and external audit activity. There is also a strong data and reporting element to the role, with a requirement to produce MI and contribute to ongoing improvements in systems and processes.
This is a hands-on and detail-focused role that sits within a busy, collaborative operations team. There is regular interaction with internal stakeholders, and the analyst would be expected to escalate issues where necessary, respond to internal and external enquiries, and support the team in meeting its service standards and compliance obligations.
We are keen to speak with individuals who have experience in reconciliations and payments within a regulated financial services environment. Familiarity with FCA CASS rules, particularly CASS 6 and 7, would be highly advantageous, as would experience working with payment platforms and general ledger systems. A methodical and organised approach is important, along with strong Excel skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
