Overview
Intervention Support Assistant – Fixed Term until 31st August 2026. 24 hours per week – St Michael's Term time plus INSET days (total 34 weeks per year).
We have an exciting opportunity to take on the role of Intervention Support Assistant in a part-time capacity to support our Learning Development Coordinator. This role works alongside the Learning Development Coordinator to support small group and 1:1 interventions in class and in our SEND classroom. Experience in working with children with SEND is desired. You will be an excellent team member, prepared to do what is needed for our children to feel seen, heard and able, and have a natural affinity with children, especially those with SEND.
Responsibilities
* Support small group and 1:1 interventions in class and in the SEND classroom under the guidance of the Learning Development Coordinator.
* Collaborate with staff to develop and implement intervention strategies for pupils with SEND.
* Contribute to planning, delivering and reviewing learning activities for targeted groups.
Qualifications and Experience
* Ideal: Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
* Experience in working with children with SEND is desirable.
* A collaborative team player with a positive approach to supporting pupils’ learning and wellbeing.
Terms and Conditions
* Position: Intervention Support Assistant, fixed term to 31 August 2026.
* Hours: 24 hours per week (Term time plus INSET days; total 34 weeks per year).
* Pattern: 3 days per week; currently 8:00–16:00 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Alternative arrangements may be considered.
* Salary: Starting salary £11,563.45 per annum pro-rata (FTE £25,397 per annum).
