Full-time, permanent

Required as soon as possible, we are seeking to appoint a dynamic, motivated and personable Personal Assistant to the Bursar and Deputy Head (Futures & Communities) from January 2026. This is a key position within the school, acting as the first point of contact for a number of internal stakeholders and external organisations/agencies who deal with financial and operational matters relating to the school.

The successful candidate will report jointly to the Bursar and Deputy Head (Futures & Communities) and will also liaise closely with the other PAs and the clerk to the governors. This is a busy role managing a wide range of aspects of school life and of international business, but this is a warm and supportive working culture and the right candidate will share these values.

This is an ideal opportunity for an able and enthusiastic person to contribute to and provide strong support to the running of King’s.

The ideal candidate will:

* Have experience of PA work at a senior level
* Ideally have some experience within an educational environment or a marketing department
* Be skilled in managing relationships with discretion, especially with senior colleagues and external stakeholders
* Be a confident, assured communicator, both in written and verbal form
* Be able to demonstrate excellent IT skills (MS Office) – must be very comfortable working with spreadsheets in Excel and producing minutes and action tables in Microsoft Word
* Be well organised, able to juggle tasks simultaneously without losing attention to detail
* Be comfortable working in a busy, reactive environment
* Have a personable but business-like manner with an excellent work ethic
* Have the ability to build strong relationships at all levels
* Be fully in sympathy with the aims and objectives of King’s College School

King’s is one of the most successful schools in the world, with outstanding academic results, first-class pastoral care and a vibrant co-curriculum. Overlooking Wimbledon Common, the school is situated in one of the most attractive parts of south east England and benefits from exceptional grounds and facilities.

To apply for this role, please visit our website via the Apply button.

Closing date: 9am on Tuesday 6th January 2026.

Interviews: Friday 16th January 2026.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974.

King’s is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment. Applicants will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service. King’s College School is fully committed to the principles of equality, diversity and inclusivity in its recruitment of teaching and support staff.
