A leading global consultancy is looking to appoint an Associate Director to play a key leadership role in the delivery of a major utilities programme, including work across AMP8.
This is a high-impact position, ideal for an experienced professional ready to take on greater responsibility, lead client relationships, and contribute to strategic growth.
The Opportunity
You will act as a senior figure within the team, leading cost management services while maintaining a strong presence with a key utilities client. This role requires someone highly confident in a client-facing capacity, with the ability to influence, advise, and drive project success.
Candidates currently operating at Senior Cost Manager level with exceptional experience will also be considered for this position as a step-up opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the commercial delivery of major utilities and infrastructure projects
* Take full ownership of NEC contract management, including strategy, risk management, and dispute avoidance
* Act as a key point of contact for the client, building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships
* Provide strategic commercial advice and leadership across the programme
* Oversee and support the wider team, mentoring and developing talent
* Contribute to business growth, client development, and service excellence
* Ensure robust governance and compliance across all commercial activities
About You
* Proven experience at Senior Cost Manager / Associate Director level within a consultancy environment
* Extensive experience with NEC contracts (essential), including complex commercial management
* Strong background in utilities or major infrastructure programmes
* Highly confident in a client-facing role, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
* Strong leadership and team management capabilities
* Commercially astute, strategic, and proactive
* Professionally qualified (RICS or equivalent)
