Are you someone who loves working with children and wants to make a real difference in their lives?
A friendly and supportive primary school in Southampton is looking for a full-time Behaviour Learning Support Assistant to join their team from January. This role is all about helping children who may find school a bit more challenging and need some extra guidance with their emotions and behaviour.
What you’ll be doing:
* Supporting children one-to-one or in small groups
* Helping them stay on track with learning and manage their emotions
* Working closely with the class teacher and SEND team
* Creating a calm and positive environment in the classroom
What we’re looking for:
* Experience (personal or professional) supporting children or young people with additional needs – this might be in a school, care, medical, or home setting
* A calm, caring and patient approach
* A DBS on the Update Service (or be happy to apply for one)
* Someone happy to complete Teaching Personnel’s vetting process during the summer holidays

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
