Salary: £34,434 - £38,220 (full time full year equivalent) / Actual Salary: £29,450 - £32,688 per annum

Work Pattern: Term time plus 5 days

Hours: 36.66 per week

Based: Across Sites

We have two vacancies which provide a great opportunity for confident and experienced individuals who are dedicated to supporting pupils and improving their educational experience. The successful candidates will work with a team of committed professionals here at Kingsland School

Requirements of the Post:

The Learning & Engagement Workers will play a vital role in supporting pupil behaviour and wellbeing in the school environment.

An expectation of the role is to uphold and implement the school behavour policy adopting the systems in school to support behaviour management. Full training will be given.

Main Duties:

The suitable candidates will be expected to:

* Supervise corridors during lessons, break and lunchtimes.
* Support and promote the good behaviour of pupils at all times
* Promote good attendance and punctuality to all lessons.
* Promote the emotional well-being of pupils and support pupils in making healthy, safe lifestyle choices.
* Assist with the supervision of pupils including before and after school, break time and lunches.
* Ability to cover lessons for short term absence.
* Promote and uphold the school Policies and school rules relating to pupil conduct and learning.
* Maintain an active presence whilst frequently walking throughout the school and standing for extended periods of time.

About Kingsland School:

Kingsland School is a split site provision catering for pupils aged 11 16 years of age.

Our Broadbent Road site is a Pupil Referral Unit which offers Day 6 provision for those pupils who have been permanently excluded from an Oldham Secondary School or Academy. Our second site, known as Laurel Bank currently hosts our Specialist Learning Centre and is based in Shaw, Oldham. This provision is for pupils experiencing social, emotional or mental health and medical needs which creates a barrier to their attendance at school. This site also hosts our unique provision catering for pupils from the SLC with an Educational Health Care Plan and is the base for our Primary Outreach Service.
