Equans is looking for a Handy Person to join our team in Moderna, Oxford, OX11 0GN on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £30,.00 - £33,.00 depending on skills and experience and benefits package.

Shift Times

Monday to Friday 8.00 - 5.00.

What will you deliver?

As the Handy person Operative, you will be part of a small department delivering the required tasks. You will work closely with Contract Managers & Supervisors to ensure all works (PPM, reactive & quoted) are processed and dealt with in a timely manner in accordance with the contractual requirements. Supporting the customer on embedding system processes and compliance

1. Ensure all PPM is carried out in accordance with the maintenance specification and documented in real time using the PDA to log start/wait/stop completion and travel times with appropriate comments to evidence completion of work
2. Ensure that all relevant paperwork is completed regarding PPM, reactive and breakdown works and that it is passed without delay to the contract administrator. Complete supplementary documentation / E-Forms relating to the maintenance task as dictated by your line manager
3. Update customers CAFM system in real time with start/wait/stop completion times and provide full description of works undertaken, advising of any follow-on works required
4. Ensure reactive tasks throughout the sites are completed and be proactive in highlighting areas where improvements can be made. Identify and record all plant failures using quotation forms and issue to line manager. This is to be indicated and recorded within the CAFM system
5. Ensure that plant faults and defects are swiftly remedied to maintain plant in serviceable order. In accordance with the delegated authority with the applicable contract or authorised by the client
6. Stock management using clients system to order lab stock and distribute these to the relevant work area
7. Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out both maintenance and reactive works
8. To provide parts lists and estimated timescales to carry out remedial works
9. To attend site in response to breakdowns or failures of the equipment outside of normal working hours (call outs). Take part in the regional on-call rota

Who are we looking for?

A recognised industry qualification would be desirable but not essential
Previous experience in undertaking a similar role.
Must have a full clean drivers licence.
Computer literate
Good communicator
Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised
Able to work as part of a team
Flexible and adaptable to change
To always maintain a clean and smart appearance
Fluent in English both written and oral.

This role includes a DBS Standard check therefore ability to pass is essential.
