This Great Hotel on the Coastline with a fantastic restaurant is looking for a Sous Chef to join and help lead the kitchen brigade while creating fresh dishes to high standards for guests.

They offer a variety of fresh food choices for their guests and customers, using locally sourced ingredients. The Head Chef and his team have a great relationship with local farmers and fishermen to ensure the menus incorporate Suffolk's finest for a range of contemporary dishes.

Main Duties of this Sous Chef role include:

1. Act as a deputy to the Head Chef with all responsibilities as required
2. Run an environment that is clean, tidy, and organized
3. Assist in and produce accurate stock takes
4. Carry out quality checks on stock, produce, and dishes
5. Respond flexibly to business needs
6. Manage rotas and help develop and inspire the team
7. Ensure daily food preparation meets recipes

This is a permanent position.

All applicants should have a stable CV with excellent traceable references. The ideal candidate is experienced in working with fresh produce and should possess NVQ Level 1 and 2 or equivalent, along with a hygiene certificate.

You must be working in or a resident of the United Kingdom for this position. You must also be able to prove your right to work in the UK, either as a UK/EU citizen with ILR/PR status or holding a valid work permit/visa with at least 2 years remaining.

In line with the Immigration Act 1996, all applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK. Evidence of eligibility will be required during the recruitment process.
