Laundry Technician
Location: Pyle, CF33
Hours: Full time Monday to Friday 7.30 am to 3.30 pm up until Christmas whilst you undergo your training. After Christmas the role becomes part time working 7.30 am - 3.30 pm, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Pay Rate: £12.30
Contract: Temporary, duration ongoing, potential to become a permanent position after 12 weeks
Manpower is recruiting on behalf of an established healthcare equipment provider for a Laundry Technician. This role is part of a specialist team responsible for the safe decontamination and preparation of medical beds mattresses and related equipment used across healthcare settings.
The Role
You will work within a busy laundry and decontamination environment where attention to detail and a methodical approach are essential. Daily tasks include
Cleaning and decontaminating returned equipment to a high standard
Supporting the daily flow of items through the laundry process
Keeping accurate records of equipment processed
Working in line with Health and Safety and infection control procedures
Identifying any items that are damaged or need repair
Working as part of a team to meet demand from hospitals and care settings
About You
A full UK driving licence is essential
Previous experience in a similar practical role is desirable
Able to work methodically and manage your workload effectively
Physically able to handle larger and heavier items safely
Comfortable working within infection control and safety guidelines
A reliable team player with a positive approach
