As a member of our brilliant team of social workers, you will play a key role in helping vulnerable children and young people find a foster home that can transform their future. You will also supervise and advise foster carers, ensuring both carers and children receive the support they need to thrive.
Responsibilities
- Help vulnerable children and young people find suitable foster homes.
- Supervise and advise foster carers, ensuring high standards are consistently maintained.
- Visit homes and maintain regular contact with both carers and young people, acting as a safeguarding champion.
- Collaborate with specialist clinical teams to identify and facilitate appropriate support services such as occupational, art, and trauma-focused therapies.
- Ensure that children and young people are safe, secure, and well looked after at all times.
- Inspire and empower carers to grow in confidence and achieve their full potential.
Qualifications
- Registered with the appropriate body and hold a full driving licence.
- BA or MA degree in social work.
- Previous social work experience with young people who have a history of trauma and enhanced needs.
- Energetic and open‑minded approach, confident and imaginative.
