Job Title: Junior Project Manager Solar PV (Commercial Rooftop)
Location: UK (Hybrid / Site-Based)
Salary: Up to £45,000 (depending on experience)
Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Project Manager to support the delivery of commercial rooftop Solar PV projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands-on experience managing projects above 500kW who is looking to develop their career within a growing renewable energy business.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the end-to-end delivery of commercial rooftop Solar PV projects (500kW+) from pre-construction through to commissioning
* Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
* Support project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation
* Manage site activities, ensuring health & safety compliance at all times
* Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to senior stakeholders
* Assist with procurement of materials and contractor management
* Ensure quality standards and technical specifications are met throughout project delivery
* Support grid connection processes and liaise with DNOs where required
Requirements
* Proven experience supporting or managing Solar PV projects of 500kW+
* Strong experience working on commercial rooftop installations
* Good understanding of project management principles within construction or renewable energy
* Knowledge of UK Solar PV regulations, standards, and health & safety requirements
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across the UK.
Desirable
* Relevant degree or qualification in Engineering, Construction, or Renewable Energy
* Experience with project management tools (e.g. MS Project, Primavera)
* Knowledge of grid connections and DNO processes
* SMSTS / SSSTS or equivalent health & safety certification
