Job Description
Early Years Practitioner responsible for supporting the development and well‑being of children between 3 months and 5 years at Cuddles and Care Day Nursery Wells, part of S&D Childcare Limited. This role is full‑time.
Qualifications & Experience
* Level 2/3 CACHE Childcare or equivalent
* Experience with children in a childcare or nursery setting
* Background in early childhood education
* Strong communication skills to interact effectively with children and parents
* Valid driver’s licence preferred (not essential)
* Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Willingness to undergo further training
* Basic understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies
Responsibilities
* Support children’s learning and development in line with the EYFS framework
* Observe and assess individual children to track progress
* Maintain records of children’s achievements and development using an online system
* Build positive relationships with children and families, fostering trust and open communication
* Liaise with parents/carers to provide feedback on development, progress, and daily activities
* Ensure safety, security, and well‑being of the children at all times
* Follow health and safety protocols, including hygiene standards, first aid, and emergency procedures
* Support children during daily routines, including mealtimes, toileting, napping, and outdoor play
* Work effectively as part of a team, attending staff meetings and contributing to setting development

Monday to Friday all year round, 40 hours per week. Full‑time.
