Overview

As a Care Home Manager at HC-One, you'll value kindness above all, touching upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. Every person who works here understands that our residents are people just like them with their own stories to tell. By joining HC-One as a Care Home Manager, you'll have a wonderful opportunity to give back to those people.

Responsibilities

In this role you will take responsibility for the well‑being of our Residents, including ensuring their physical, emotional and social needs are met. You will lead, motivate and mentor your team, delivering clinical guidance and training to ensure the safe, smooth and efficient running of the care home. You will carry out assessments, develop, implement and evaluate individualised care plans for each Resident, monitor work areas and practices to ensure they are safe and conform to relevant standards, policies and legislation. You will promote our Residents’ independence, choice, dignity and respect by delivering the very best standards of care and striving for continuous improvement.

The position offers you a chance to lead that provision through effective leadership and home management. You will ensure we have the best people on‑site, delivering a truly empathic service. Whether you are championing Resident wellbeing, establishing a vision and development plan for the home or carrying out quality assurance monitoring to exceed regulatory standards, you will do so with a sense of kindness above everything else.

Qualifications

We are looking for a care home experienced Manager. You will either have a Registered Managers Award Level 4, or Leadership and Management in Care Level 4/5, or a willingness to study for one. You should have leadership experience with multidisciplinary teams and conducting risk assessments. Above all, you should communicate with residents and co‑workers in a truly considerate and kind manner.

Safeguarding

Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You must be able to recognise signs of possible abuse, harm or neglect in its different forms and know what to do if there are any concerns. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and undertake additional training in associated areas. You also have the ability to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.
