Pharmacy Dispenser – Mansfield Jubilee Extra
Our Pharmacy Dispenser rate of pay starts from £12.87 an hour (outside the M25) or £14.08 an hour (inside the M25). Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
We offer new colleagues a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week, with options to work fewer hours (minimum 12) if preferred.
Availability windows (schedule will be based on these times with 3 weeks’ notice):
* Thursday: 15:00 – 21:30
* Friday: 09:00 – 14:30
* Saturday: 09:00 – 15:00
Responsibilities
* Support the operation of one of our modern pharmacies.
* Accurately dispense medication using technical skills and strong customer focus.
* Dispense prescription medicines, ensuring detail and accuracy are maintained.
* Communicate with customers in a confident, friendly and professional manner, encouraging repeat visits.
* Provide appropriate information on common ailments, symptoms and products.
* Take time to understand customers’ needs, explain benefits and sell suitable products.
* Advise customers on the range of pharmacy services available.
* Support and deliver pharmacy services and the dispensing process according to SOPs.
* Assess the legal appropriateness of dispensed prescriptions.
* Deal with clinical and legal queries from healthcare practitioners within competence.
* Respond to customer queries regarding prescription medicines and inform the pharmacist of complaints.
* Ensure all dispensary routines and SOPs are followed.
* Maintain a clean, tidy and clutter‑free dispensary and consulting rooms.
* Ensure prescription administration is accurate and completed on time.
* Promote company initiatives and activities within the team.
* Carry out procedures accurately to protect profit and trade safely and legally.
* Complete corporate and departmental training.
* Stay updated with legal and professional developments in pharmacy.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Qualifications gained from working in a pharmacy environment.
* A desire to train and develop into the pharmacy field.
