We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and committed individual to join a well-established and supportive multi-disciplinary team.
The Lancashire and South Cumbria Early Intervention Service (EIS) specialises in working with individuals aged 14 to 65 at risk of, or currently experiencing, first episode psychosis. Our team provides a range of specialist interventions including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Family Interventions within a hub and spoke model of care. There are four multi-disciplinary early intervention service teams covering the Lancashire and South Cumbria footprint.
Main duties of the job
The Lancashire Early and South Cumbria Intervention Service is based within the Children and Families Network of Lancashire and South Cumbria Care NHS Foundation Trust. We enjoy close working links with a range of community and inpatient services for children and adults.
We place a strong emphasis on professional and clinical supervision in order to support and develop individuals as part of our commitment to maintain our focus on delivering the highest quality clinical service.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part Central & West EIS, we have one 6 month seconded full time post for a nurse, social worker or occupational therapist to join the team. The posts will provide an opportunity for development for those who are interested in working within the Early Intervention Service and to gain valuable experience working in a community setting.
The post is being offered as a 37.5 hours permanent post
Key Worker Minimum professional qualifications: RMN / OT / Dip SWSalary Scale: Band 6

Person Specification
Education
* First Level Professional Qualification (RMN/SW/OT)
* On-going registration with professional body.
* Evidence of accredited learning at Degree level 6 or above that is relative to practice.
Knowledge
* Can demonstrate an in depth knowledge of mental health conditions, specifically psychosis and their recommended treatments.
* Can demonstrate specialist knowledge within their professional area of patient/ client care.
* Thorough knowledge of acute and community mental health care for the psychosis pathway.
Experience
* Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team structure.
* Experience of assessing, planning, implementing and reviewing care needs.
