We are looking for an Associate Director who can combine the technical engineering challenges of a fast-paced engineering sector, demonstrate leadership and people management of bridge design engineering teams and has a strong track record in business development, to join our Croydon Bridges and Structures team. What can we offer? Our Croydon office has approximately 45 engineers and technicians and has an established track record of successfully delivering bridge engineering schemes in London and Southeast England but also throughout the UK and overseas. The team provides assessment, concept, feasibility, preliminary and detailed designs on a wide range of schemes, either as standalone bridge commissions or as part of multidisciplinary major projects. Our clients are from the private and public sector and include long term Framework Agreements with numerous London and Southeast England Local Authorities together with Design and Build commissions for many major Contractors. Job Duties include: As Associate Director you will be expected to take a leading role have the following daily responsibilities: Lead and mentor a team of bridge engineers, providing technical guidance and mentoring them during their professional development. Client liaison. Develop and maintain relationships with key clients while aligning projects with business organisational goals. Technically lead the design, engineering and construction of complex bridges providing the optimal solution for our clients. Conduct technical reviews, quality assurance checks and represent the organisation in industry forums and client meetings. Responsible for production through to client sign off of Technical Approval documentation. Excellent technical and communication skills both verbal and written. Project Management including program and resource monitoring, quality control, technical management and delivery. Production of tenders including quality documentation and costings.
