We are looking for a Technical Estimator to join the Technicical Team at Thermatic Technical FM. As a Thermatic Technical Estimator you are a member of the Technical Team. The Technical Team’s main aim is to deliver agreed services to our clients with the upmost standard and efficiency, whilst maintaining and delivering all cost lines. As a Technical Estimator, you will support this purpose by providing quotations for minor works whilst offering support and guidance to support the management of contract/s, ensuring the contracts run smoothly and efficiently and driving continuous improvement. Thermatic Technical FM provide complete nationwide coverage, across the full spectrum of Hard FM services to large, commercial clients. Our team of mobile engineers are supported by the account teams at Head Office to provide both reactive breakdown and planned maintenance services to our clients. Skills, Experience & Qualifications: Basic Technical/ Building Services Knowledge Commercial Awareness Health & Safety Knowledge Previous experience in similar industry Technical awareness Team Player Responsibilities include: Support with responses to questions and requests for information – internally and/or externally Deliver quotes for works through existing Engineering & Technical team to facilitate delivery and completion of Minor Works through out TTFM. Reviewing WIP reports across client base to identify and produce quotes for our customers on HVAC work Work alongside out Projects department delivering smaller scale works and supporting on bigger projects when needed Drive operational delivery throughout the team, holding them accountable Identify opportunities with processes, providing solutions to drive continuous improvements Review client portals, highlighting any concerns or opportunities, manage non- compliance across your team Answer all external calls and emails where necessary in a timely manner; ensure that team are actively doing so too Confirm booking of works with customer prior to the work being undertaken Be part of a centralized team to assure quality, compliance and reputation of Thermatic brand is upheld Work with account teams to manage all jobs through the entire process from logging of the job to invoicing Work along side compliance & HSE managers to deliver centralized solutions of equal quality across all sectors ensuring quality is maintained. Seasonal work load identification and assisting with resource with TSC Ensure current supply chain are fit for purpose to maximise efficiency on return jobs Identify failure points on client sites and proactively producing quotations for such Review all reactive calls across the business to identify patterns ( seasonal or equipment) and record failures on reports. Commercial awareness of operational impact and what measures can be taken to improve Responsible for the required margin on all quoted works Awareness of gross profit and driving efficiencies, and how to impact/improve Review mitigation report to understand why jobs are not profitable, identifying opportunities and managing improvements Develop and maintain client relationships; past, current, and future Deliver and role model excellent customer service through all channels of communication – email, phone and/or portal Gain in depth understanding of customer needs and expectations Actively seek feedback on operational performance, act upon feedback where possible and escalate when needed Our People We’re a business built on people and it’s the people that make us different from other companies.
