* Job Title: Electrical Supervisor

Position Overview
The Electrical Supervisor will oversee and coordinate all electrical activities on commercial construction projects, ensuring that work is completed safely, on time, and in compliance with design specifications, industry standards, and local regulations. This role involves managing teams of electricians and subcontractors, monitoring progress, and maintaining quality and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervision & Coordination:
o Lead and supervise electrical teams on-site, ensuring productivity and workmanship meet project and safety standards.
o Coordinate with project managers, engineers, other trade supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
o Plan and allocate daily work schedules, materials, and resources.
* Project Execution:
o Interpret electrical drawings, plans, and specifications for installation and commissioning.
o Oversee installation of electrical systems, lighting, power distribution, and control systems in commercial environments.
o Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
* Safety & Compliance:
o Enforce safety policies and procedures; lead toolbox talks and site safety inspections.
o Identify and mitigate potential hazards in the workplace.
o Ensure compliance with company and client HSE requirements.
* Quality Assurance:
o Inspect work to ensure it meets design intent and quality standards.
o Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, testing, and commissioning results.
o Manage issue tracking and ensure timely rectification.
* Communication & Reporting:
o Provide daily/weekly progress reports to project management.
o Participate in site meetings and liaise with clients, engineers, and inspectors as required.
o Support project closeout, testing, and handover documentation.
Qualifications & Experience
* Level 3 NVQ Electrical Installation or equivalent certification.
* Minimum 5+ years of experience in commercial electrical construction.
* Strong understanding of electrical systems, drawings, and commercial construction processes.
* Demonstrated leadership and communication skills.
* Able to manage labour to work in an efficient and effective manner.
* Knowledge of applicable safety codes, standards, and regulations.
* Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites.
Preferred Skills
* Experience with medium- to large-scale commercial projects (offices, hospitals, retail, education, etc.).
* Ability to manage multiple crews and subcontractors under tight deadlines.
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
