Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care to residents within our care home. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in senior care, demonstrating leadership abilities and effective communication skills. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by supporting their daily needs and ensuring their comfort and safety.
Duties
* Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Develop and implement individual care plans in collaboration with the care team.
* Supervise junior staff members and provide guidance to ensure high standards of care are maintained.
* Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and any changes in their condition.
* Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to provide updates on care needs.
* Participate in training sessions and contribute to ongoing professional development.
* Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the living environment for all residents.
* Drive residents to appointments or activities as required.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a care home or similar senior care setting is essential.
* Supervising experience with the ability to lead a team effectively.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage with residents and their families compassionately.
* Familiarity with developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual resident needs.
* Proficient IT skills for maintaining records and communicating within the team.
* A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting residents when necessary.
