The main purpose ofthe AreaManager roleis:
* To offer qualitysupport to Young People to enable them to develop positive lifeskills in accordance with the organisations policies andprocedures.

TheDuties and responsibilities of theArea Managerrole is:
To workalongside the staff in managing the homes in an efficient mannerwith the available resources ensuring these are used to the besteffect for the proper care of the young people and running andmaintenance of the homes.
Requiresexcellent time management and organisational skills with ability totake responsibility for own workload.
Ensure that training needs areidentified and monitored accurately to ensure the skills andexperience of staff is in fitting with the needs of thehomes
Seek to maintain the maximumlevel of individuality and independence of the children within sololiving.
Ensure that all childrenreceive proper medical dental and all health care needs are metappropriate to their individual needs and that they are kept underregular planned review.
Participatein reviews meetings case conferences etc as and whenrequired.
Ensure that properattention is given by staff to the health safety and welfarematters throughout the home including fire precautions in order tominimise the risk of accidents and hurt or damage to children staffproperty and equipment.
Cooperate atall times with the differing social services departments staff andother professionals in carrying out their duties andresponsibilities. Insofar as they affect the home and the companyand to seek the advice of linemanagement.
Oversee placementmanagers in the Teesside area.

TheQualifications and Experience of theAreaManager:
* Arelevant qualification is desirable e.g. Level 3 or 4 5 NVQ inHealth and Social Care or equivalent but not essential as enrolmenton training courses will beavailable.
* 2 years experienceworking with Ofsted
* TransferableAdults and Childrens DBS is desirable but notessential
* experience workingalongside Ofsted and understanding of the regulation set out byOfsted.
