We have a great opportunity to join the Finance team at Aviva as a Financial Controls Transformation Manager, leading transformation and change initiatives. This role supports large-scale business-led change and finance transformation, crucial for Aviva’s strategic growth, and ensures a robust control environment. It offers an exciting opportunity for those eager to drive meaningful change.
About the role:
You will enhance the efficiency and sustainability of the control environment, leveraging emerging technologies. Created in response to significant finance transformation activities, this role emphasizes high-quality, sustainable controls.
As a subject matter expert, you’ll collaborate with finance stakeholders to generate ideas, challenge processes, and support delivery, focusing on the full change process lifecycle, including risk mitigation, testing, and business readiness.
You will also develop frameworks for finance colleagues to assess and address risks during change delivery. Building relationships with those leading finance transformation is key, and you will develop the role to meet evolving business needs. This position reports to the Financial Control Transformation Director within the Group Financial Controller team, covering all finance areas across Aviva.
Skills and experience:
The ideal candidate is likely a qualified accountant with recent experience in financial control assurance or controls consultancy, with a track record of improving risk and control outcomes. Knowledge of the insurance industry and finance processes is essential, and experience with new technologies is beneficial but not mandatory. Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management are required.
