The Role As a Team Leader, you will play a key role in supporting the Home Manager with the day-to-day running of the service. Youll help lead and motivate the staff team while delivering consistent, high-quality care to young people aged 818 with needs including autism, learning disabilities, and emotional or behavioural challenges .
This role operates on a rota basis and includes weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-in shifts .
Key Responsibilities Support the Home Manager in the operational management of the home
Lead shifts and provide clear direction to the residential care team
Create a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for young people
Contribute to care planning, reviews, and risk assessments
Maintain accurate records, daily logs, and incident reports
Work collaboratively with families, social workers, and external professionals
Ensure compliance with safeguarding procedures, Ofsted standards, and internal policies
Safely administer medication and manage related documentation
Act as a positive role model for young people and colleagues
Support young people with daily routines, education, and recreational activities
What Our Client Is Looking For Experience working in childrens residential care
Previous exposure to Ofsted-regulated environments (preferred)
Strong safeguarding knowledge and leadership skills
NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare
A full UK driving licence (preferred)
