ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Gas Engineer, you will be responsible for both planned and reactive maintenance.
WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
* Completing PPM works according to schedule in the most proactive and efficient way possible.
* Notifying issues to the helpdesk and seeking advice from the contract manager where appropriate.
* Producing thorough quotes with well-researched methodology, including correct parts and labour times to ensure profitability, cost control, and client satisfaction.
* Diagnosing breakdowns effectively and repairing equipment promptly.
* Recording and documenting all work, raising appropriate documentation such as quotes as needed.
* Working in accordance with health, safety, compliance, and environmental requirements.
* Liaising with other departments, suppliers, and service providers.
* Maintaining site log books.
* Ensuring compliance and health and safety on site.
* Communicating with clients and the helpdesk.
* Providing excellent communication and customer service to our varied client base.
* Ensuring equipment, tools, parts, and company assets are calibrated, maintained, and properly looked after.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
* 2-5 years of industry experience with relevant qualifications.
* Essential: City & Guilds COCN1, CCN1, CDGA1, CODNCO1, CIGA1, CPA1, CENWAT, ICPN1, TPCP1, TPCP1A.
* Nice to have: CKR1, CCCN1, HTR1, CORT1, Legionella Awareness & Training, Asbestos Awareness, PASMA, IPAF.
* Technically competent, commercially aware, with a strong understanding of health and safety.
* Good written and numerical skills; comfortable with Microsoft Office.
* Excellent customer interaction skills, quick thinker, confident communicator.
* Problem solver who remains calm under pressure and demonstrates empathy.
* Strong relationship management skills, both internal and external.
* Self-motivated, team player, flexible to travel with a valid UK driving license.
