Reed Engineering are working alongside our client who are looking to add an QC Inspector to their team on a permanent basis. You will be based in the south of Aberdeen.
Hours: Monday - Thursday 7am - 3pm, Friday 7am - 1pm (weekend overtime available)
Hourly Rate: £18 - £21p/hour, 1.5x OT weekdays and 1st 4 hours on Saturday 2x thereafter, 2x Sunday
Daily Duties -
Carry out First off, In-process, Final, and NDT inspections of machined products accurately
Review documentation supplied with goods that require quality inspection
Raising non-conformance and inspection reports for internal and sub-contractor jobs
Submit all hardness, non-destructive and drift testing results to spreadsheet
Witness pressure tests to verify equipment is being tested in accordance with the quality plan and customer requirements
Coordinate with internal departments to resolve product quality issues
Liaise with 3rd party inspectors and participate in internal and external audits as requiredCandidate Requirements -
Time-served or HNC/HND level in relevant engineering subject
Background within manufacturing or sub-contracting environment within Oil and Gas industry
Experience of ISO9001, API Q1 & Q2
Dye penetrant inspection level II or Magnetic particle inspection level II (Desirable)
