The business offers a complete in-house service covering machining, fabrication, sheet metalwork, and full assembly. Role Overview We are seeking an experienced TIG Welder to join a skilled fabrication team. The role involves working on high-precision components and fabricated assemblies for demanding industries where quality and attention to detail are critical. Key Responsibilities * Perform high-quality TIG welding on a range of materials (primarily stainless steel, aluminium, and mild steel) * Work from technical drawings, engineering schematics, and weld procedures * Fabricate and assemble components to tight tolerances * Carry out finishing processes including grinding and polishing * Inspect and test welded components to ensure compliance with specifications * Collaborate with machinists, fabricators, and engineers to meet project requirements * Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with company and HSE standards * Support continuous improvement initiatives within the fabrication department Skills & Experience Required * Proven experience in TIG welding within a precision engineering or fabrication environment * Ability to weld thin gauge materials to a high standard * Experience working to tight tolerances and high-spec requirements (ideally aerospace, motorsport, or similar sectors) * Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings * Good knowledge of fabrication processes and materials * Experience with sheet metal and complex assemblies is desirable * Coding/qualification (e.g., coded welder certifications) is advantageous but not essential * High attention to detail and commitment to quality Working Environment * Modern precision engineering facility with a full in-house manufacturing capability * Exposure to high-spec projects across multiple advanced industries * Opportunity to work as part of a highly skilled team delivering complex engineering solutions
