Mechanical Shift Engineer

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Shift Engineer to join a leading building services provider on a high-profile, prestigious site based in the West London area. This role sits within a large, well-structured engineering team and operates on a continental shift pattern (days and nights).
The successful engineer will be responsible for delivering both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance, alongside remedial works and emergency response duties. This is a fantastic chance to work on a technically demanding site within a respected organisation known for investing heavily in training, development, and internal progression.
Key Responsibilities
Carrying out PPM and reactive mechanical maintenance
Working on AHUs and FCUs
Pumps (including bearings and mechanical seals)
Chilled water systems
Cooling towers and associated water treatment
Tap temperature testing
Dosing and cooling tower checks
Plumbing and pressurisation units
Generators and emergency systems
CRAC units
Motors
Basic BMS operation
Maintaining high standards of health & safety and site compliance Requirements
City & Guilds Level 3 / NVQ (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering
Apprenticeship trained (desirable)
Proven experience within building services maintenance
Strong client-facing skills and a professional approach Package & Benefits
