Due to the promotion of the current postholder, an opportunity has arisen to join our friendly, committed and dedicated team at Ysgol Bro Banw. The Governors, Staff and Children of our school are seeking to appoint an inspirational and proven leader to take up the role of Deputy Headteacher. We require a lead professional and role model who is committed to developing the long-term future of our school, always aspiring for excellence. You will join a passionate and supportive leadership team.

Ysgol Bro Banw is a successful school located in the town of Ammanford, catering for pupils aged 4-11. We offer both mainstream Welsh-medium and English-medium education and are proud of the unique character of our specialist centre, Canolfan yr Enfys, which plays a key role in shaping our school's strong inclusive ethos. There are 440 pupils on roll currently.

Our school is committed to "Encouraging every child to shine," providing a nurturing environment where the interests of the child are at the heart of everything we do.

The Role:

The successful candidate will:

* Develop and promote school improvement, self-evaluation and assessment.
* To work collaboratively with the Headteacher and Governors in providing effective leadership and management to ensure that all pupils enjoy success and reach their full potential.
* As a key member of the leadership team, to make a significant, positive, professional contribution to the future of the school.
* To foster the standards, inclusion and well-being of all learners.
* Take an active part in the wider life of the school
* Deputise in the absence of the Headteacher
