Your new role
We are looking for a school science/lab technician to join their friendly and supportive science department for a school located in the Accrington area. You will work closely with the science teachers to prepare and maintain the equipment and materials for practical experiments and demonstrations. You will also assist in the health and safety management of the laboratories and ensure that all relevant policies and procedures are followed.
This is a full-time position on a long-term, temporary, basis for at least a term initially.
What you'll need to succeed
• A relevant vocational qualification in laboratory or science-related activities or equivalent experience
• A good knowledge of scientific techniques, equipment and materials
• Amitment to health and safety in schools
• A strongmitment to supporting students’ learning and achievement
• A flexible and proactive approach to work
• A willingness to undertake further training and development as required
