Overview
Reporting to the Head of Property, Entertainment, Natural Resources and Construction Claims, you will be delivering effective and efficient claims adjusting across both Natural Resources and Construction lines. You will have strong experience of claims handling, loss adjusting or legal background. The role will operate across the two Lines of Business, but the candidate will primarily be focused on Natural Resources Claims. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in handling very large Natural Resources claims in a lead capacity. Some of your specific responsibilities could include:
Responsibilities
* Create and maintain peer level relationships with brokers.
* Manage a portfolio of clients and be the main entry point for all their claims.
* Handle from FNOL to conclusion claims of varying degrees of complexity and value, including reporting and referrals.
* Train and develop the team and be a technical referral point for other Claims Handlers.
* Collaborate with Field Adjusters, Underwriting and Operations, and Global teams.
* Participate in IT/digital projects to share your technical insights as a Subject Matter Expert.
Qualifications
* Strong experience of claims handling, loss adjusting or legal background.
* Extensive experience in handling very large Natural Resources claims in a lead capacity.
* Detailed understanding of the insurance markets and competitor landscape.
* A solid understanding of coverage principles, products, wordings, terms, and conditions.
* Understanding of relevant reserving, legal framework, processes, guidelines, and litigation management.
* Well recognised relationship building with brokers at peer group level.
* Experience in working in a complex, global matrix organization.
* Positive team spirit and an excitement to learn.
* Ability to effectively absorb information from various sources, then analyse, study, and examine data in detail, and draw appropriate conclusions.
* Experience in applying artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to improve business processes and decision-making.
* Insurance qualifications or a relevant degree.
