Farleigh Hospice is a high performing organisation providing specialist palliative and end of life care for people with life limiting illness in the Mid Essex region. Our team at Farleigh has grown and evolved to meet the changing needs of the community we serve, and we are looking for highly motivated Head of Retail to join our Income Generation team. Reporting to the Director of Income Generation and Retail, you will: Lead the day-to-day management of all retail operations. Support and develop three Area Managers, ensuring high performance across the retail network. Drive innovation in e-commerce, recycling, and commercial opportunities. Ensure strong financial performance, operational compliance, and excellent customer service. Lead, motivate, and support a workforce of staff and volunteers across all retail services. We are looking for an experienced retail leader with: Significant experience in managing multi-site retail operations. A proven track record of achieving ambitious income targets. Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience of dispersed teams. Commercial acumen, excellent financial management, and operational insight. A collaborative, innovative mindset, with the ability to inspire both staff and volunteers. Experience in charity retail, e-commerce, or logistics would be an advantage, but we are seeking a leader with the drive and vision to grow our retail services and support our mission.
