Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Assistant to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will support engineering projects by applying technical skills and knowledge in various areas of engineering. This role involves assisting in the design, development, and testing of engineering solutions while collaborating with senior engineers to ensure project success.
Responsibilities
* Assist in the design and development of engineering projects using CAD software.
* Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues and propose effective solutions.
* Support system design activities, ensuring compliance with specifications and standards.
* Utilise Simulink and MATLAB for simulations and data analysis.
* Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation tasks.
* Create and interpret schematics, ensuring accurate representation of designs.
* Employ GD&T principles in the creation of technical drawings and documentation.
* Collaborate with team members to conduct tests and experiments in a laboratory setting using LabVIEW.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of mechanical systems and components.
Skills
* Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modelling and design.
* Strong understanding of mechanical knowledge relevant to engineering applications.
* Familiarity with CAD tools for drafting and designing engineering solutions.
* Experience with root cause analysis techniques to troubleshoot engineering problems.
* Knowledge of Simulink for system modelling and simulation.
* Understanding of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation processes.
* Ability to read and interpret schematics effectively.
* Experience with GD&T principles for accurate technical documentation.
* Proficiency in MATLAB for data analysis and algorithm development.
