Position: Class teacher (with Subject Leadership Responsibility) Location: Great Dunmow, Essex Hours: 40 hours per week, term time Salary Details: Up to £42,000 per annum DOE Job Description To deliver high-quality teaching and learning to pupils with SEMH needs, ensuring that every young person makes sustained academic and personal progress. The postholder will also take lead responsibility for the planning, development, and quality assurance of at least one subject or curriculum area across the school. Who we are: Cambian Great Dunmow school will cater to the needs of up to 25 mixed sex pupils aged 11 to 19 with a primary diagnosis of social, emotional and mental health needs. This well-resourced school will have a high ratio of student to staff with small class sizes and a curriculum that is bespoke to needs of the children and young people. The ideal candidate will: Ideally Hold UK QTS and a degree. Have good interpersonal skills and will be able interact with and communicate confidently with staff and students and other stakeholders. Understanding of mental health diagnosis and be able to use empathetic approach to engage learners. Knowledge of the curriculum and able to deliver in more than one curriculum area. Have high expectations for all students and is able to raise attainment level and keep standard high. Good IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Outlook.
