We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. Duties
* Safely operate company vehicles, including vans and lorries, in accordance with traffic laws and company policies
* Plan delivery routes to optimise efficiency and meet delivery schedules
* Load and unload goods, often requiring heavy lifting, ensuring items are secure during transit
* Confirm delivery details with customers upon arrival and obtain necessary signatures or proof of delivery
* Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation
* Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
* Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that arise during transit
Skills
* Proven experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles
* Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record
* Experience working in warehouse environments or handling heavy lifting tasks
* Strong organisational skills to plan routes efficiently and manage schedules
* Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
* Ability to operate various types of vehicles safely and responsibly
* Good physical fitness to handle loading/unloading tasks and long periods of driving
* Knowledge of local roads and traffic regulations is advantageous
