Role Overview:
As a Solutions Architect specialising in cybersecurity, you will report to our Head of Cloud Solutions and be an integral part of our solution architect team, which is a core component of our revenue operations. Working alongside expert solution architects in VMware, AWS, Microsoft Cloud, and Data Management solutions, you will collaborate directly with customers to understand their business needs and technical requirements.
This role involves supporting our sales engagements with a deep understanding of managed security solutions, particularly Microsoft technologies such as Entra, Defender XDR, Azure Sentinel, and ServiceNow Security Incident Response. You will also assist our solutions team in developing secure AWS, Azure, and VMware VCF Brightsolid Cloud solutions. Collaboration with security partners and fostering a strong relationship with our cybersecurity team is essential.
This customer-facing role requires reasonable travel, experience presenting to customers, and supporting events.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support customers and prospects in creating HLDs and LLDs, ensuring a commercially effective security blend
* Explain complex technical terms in a non-technical way
* Conduct security assessments and design security architectures to address vulnerabilities and risks
* Develop threat models and mitigation strategies
* Oversee implementation of security solutions like firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and DLP
* Ensure compliance with standards such as ISO 27001, PCI DSS, GDPR
* Work with SecOps on vulnerability management, assessments, penetration testing, and remediation
* Maintain expertise in cloud security best practices
* Collaborate with product leads, architects, and engineering teams to integrate security into solutions
* Guide customers on security investments aligned with business objectives
* Mentor junior security team members
Requirements:
* Proven experience in cybersecurity presales, architecture, or similar roles (3+ years)
* Strong understanding of security principles and practices
* Hands-on experience with security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, vulnerability scanners)
* Experience with AWS and Azure cloud security
* Knowledge of security standards (ISO 27001, NIST)
* Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
Required Skills:
* Expertise in cybersecurity principles and practices
* Deep understanding of cloud and infrastructure security
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft security platforms
* Understanding of networking security concepts

Working Pattern: Hybrid working policy; required to be in a UK location at least twice a month, at your manager's discretion.
