We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our care team. The successful candidate will support patients and service users with daily living activities, personal care, and overall well-being, while maintaining dignity, respect, and a safe environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist patients/service users with personal care needs, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding.
* Support mobility and encourage independence wherever possible.
* Monitor and record patients' conditions, such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and weight.
* Provide emotional support and companionship to patients.
* Assist with mealtimes and hydration, ensuring dietary requirements are met.
* Maintain accurate care records and report changes in health or behavior to senior staff.
* Help keep the care environment safe, clean, and comfortable.
* Work collaboratively with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals.
* Follow infection control, safeguarding, and health & safety procedures.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a healthcare or care home setting (preferred but not essential; training may be provided).
* NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards).
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Compassionate, patient, and reliable personality.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and nights if required.

Pay: £12.21 per hour
