The role
As a Change Manager within Service Consultancy, you will have a role that is out of the ordinary. You will be based within the service consultancy team, which provide advice and guidance to other service consultants as well as both internal and external customers. You will support the SME including working with other service consultants to provide input into pre bid and bid evaluation ensuring the use of industry best practice methodologies across the full service lifecycle.
Day-to-day, you will support as required into customer facing teams, stakeholders and internal business IDT’s. Development opportunities within both service consultancy and service operations enabling development of management skills and SME specific practices and processes (ITIL 4 and SAFe Agile).
1. Production of artefact for input into bid responses and proposals.
2. Provide input into customer and business requirements and definitions of appropriate support models, with associated costs.
3. Working with Senior consultant engaging with stakeholders to ensure value and benefits are recognised and understood
4. Has the ability to work independently and can resolve issues with minimal guidance.
5. Work with SD&T (Service Design and Transition) colleagues, to help ensure that Service Design Packages and Service Transition Activities are documented and approved at the appropriate points within the capability delivery.
Essential experience of the IT Service Consultant:
6. Ability to help influence stakeholders and engage with customers across various positons and levels.
7. Ability to produce documentation and high level plans.
8. Good level of understanding and competency in Industry Best Practice service aligned frameworks (Eg: ITIL/SIAM)
9. Manage the use of standard methods and procedures for efficient handling, prioritisation, scheduling, authorisation and deployment of changes and releases in alignment with ITIL best practice.
10. Maintenance and communication of the Forward Schedule of Change and projected planned service outages, highlighting scheduling conflict.
11. Managing the review of completed changes before they are closed.
12. Provision of Post Implementation Review/Reports on failed/Major Changes.
13. Basic technical understanding and working knowledge of technologies such as Active Directory, Windows 10/11, basic network fundamentals, collaboration technologies and system monitoring and reporting technologies
