Our client, a prominent entity in the rail sector, is currently seeking a Planning Manager with significant experience in major rail schemes to join their team in Leeds on a contract basis. This role involves leading and inspiring a team working on a major rail programme. \n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nConducting periodic programme reviews and maintaining schedules\nIntegrating risk management into planning processes\nCoordinating with stakeholders to ensure project alignment with goals\nReporting on project progress and potential issues\nLeading and motivating project teams\nManaging integration of multiple contractor submissions into programme-level schedules\nUtilising advanced IT systems and planning software tools\nUpholding NEC4 schedule contractual requirements\n\nJob Requirements:\n\nExperience in major rail projects is essential\nMinimum of 5 years in project/programme planning and familiarity with associated software tools\nMinimum of 10 years involved in major engineering projects\nUnderstanding of NEC4 schedule contractual requirements\nProficiency in both basic and advanced IT systems\nProven experience with technical engineering, construction, and access disciplines\nStrong communication skills across all organisational levels\nAbility to work effectively within teams and demonstrate shared successes\nGraduate level with strategic thinking abilities\nExperience operating P6 loadspring database and managing security privileges\nExtensive knowledge in creating and updating scheduling strategies and processes\nUnderstanding of schedule assurance processes for projects and programmes\nFamiliarity with Power BI\nIf you are a seasoned Planning Manager with a background in major rail projects, ready to tackle a challenging and rewarding role, we encourage you to apply now and contribute to the success of our client's dynamic team in Leeds
