The role:
As the Senior Specification Technologist, your role will involve completing product specifications for various retailers, customers, and our own brand across multiple accounts, including high-profile grocery chains and discount retailers. You will be responsible for managing and administering retailer systems, ensuring all specifications and artwork meet the highest standards of accuracy and comply with deadlines.
You will approve supplier specifications and ensure compliance with retailer/customer codes of practice and food legislation. Additionally, you will support the NPD team with nutritional calculations, cross-checking documentation, and contribute to pre- and post-launch reviews to ensure specifications meet KPIs.
You:
* Have 12+ months experience in specification writing for a food manufacturer.
* Possess knowledge of major UK retailer specification systems.
* Have a strong understanding of retailer requirements and codes of practice.
* Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines.
* Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills.
