Contract Scotland is supporting a major civil engineering contractor with the appointment of a Sub‑Agent for a long‑term infrastructure project in the south‑west of Scotland. This is a significant scheme involving general civils, structures and an element of rail interface, requiring experienced individuals who can step in and support the delivery team immediately.
The Opportunity
You will join the project at an early stage, supporting the Site Agent and Project Manager across a broad range of responsibilities including:
Overseeing day‑to‑day delivery of civils works
Managing subcontractors and ensuring safe, efficient site operations
Supporting planning, programming and progress reporting
Ensuring compliance with quality and environmental standards
Liaising with design teams and contributing to technical solutions
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience as a Sub‑Agent on civil engineering projects
Strong understanding of site delivery, safety and quality processes
Ability to manage multiple work fronts and coordinate subcontractors
Rail experience beneficial
CRE(C) knowledge or qualification highly desirable for the rail‑focused role
Immediate or short‑notice availability preferred
