About The Role
We are currently seeking a Centre Administrator to join our Central Administration department at The Bedford College Group.
* Administrative & Customer Service Support – Provide a professional administrative service, supporting departmental operations while delivering excellent customer service as a first point of contact.
* Reception & Communication Duties – Manage telephone and face‑to‑face enquiries, ensuring all visitors and stakeholders are welcomed and supported efficiently and professionally.
* Business Administration & Document Management – Produce high‑quality documents including reports, meeting minutes and correspondence, supporting senior staff with administrative tasks.
* Student Data, Exams & Systems Management – Maintain accurate student records using college systems, support examination processes and ensure data meets funding and compliance requirements.
* Operational Support & Compliance – Coordinate trips, manage resources and post, and uphold safeguarding, EDI, health & safety and CPD responsibilities while contributing to smooth departmental operations.
About You
* Qualifications, IT & Administrative Expertise – Good general education with GCSE English and maths, supported by Level 2 IT qualification and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
* Administration, Systems & Customer Service Experience – Experience in office‑based and customer‑focused environments, managing data, documents and enquiries using both manual and digital systems.
* Organisation, Accuracy & Workload Management – Highly organised with strong attention to detail, able to proofread, manage varied workloads and meet deadlines while maintaining high standards of accuracy.
* Communication, Teamwork & Stakeholder Support – Confident communicator across all formats, able to provide accurate information, build relationships and contribute effectively within a diverse team environment.
* Professional Values, Flexibility & Safeguarding – Reliable and adaptable, committed to safeguarding, equality and continuous improvement, with flexibility to support events, travel across sites and uphold professional standards.
