🌍 Business Development Manager – Energy Consultancy

Are you an experienced energy sector Business Development professional with a strong track record in energy procurement, bill validation and strategic partnerships? This is a newly created role offering the opportunity to shape and lead the business development and field sales function for a growing energy consultancy.
As the first dedicated BD hire, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving growth across the UK, building long-term partner-led and direct client relationships, and positioning the business as a trusted advisor to B2B customers navigating a complex energy landscape.
With services spanning energy procurement, bill validation, compliance and carbon management, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys consultative selling, senior stakeholder engagement, and building scalable partnership frameworks that deliver sustainable revenue.
What you’ll be doing:
* Leading new business development and field sales activity across the UK
* Developing and managing strategic partner and referral frameworks
* Building and converting a strong B2B pipeline within energy procurement and bill validation
* Engaging senior decision-makers and delivering tailored, value-led proposals
* Closing high-value, long-term consultancy agreements
* Representing the business at industry events and networking forums
What we’re looking for:
* Proven experience in B2B business development within the energy consultancy sector
* Strong background selling energy procurement, bill validation and related services
* Demonstrable experience building and managing partnership or channel-led sales models
* Commercially astute, self-starting and comfortable operating autonomously
* Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
