Are you ready to drive technological transformation at a global scale? We're looking for a seasoned Program Director -Technology to lead critical infrastructure initiatives at Worldpay. What you will own:
Infrastructure Cloud Services (ICS) is Worldpay's 200-strong Infrastructure Services organisation. We design, engineer and operate the global hosting platforms that power the payment services relied upon by millions of merchants every day.
ICS is responsible for the full spectrum of infrastructure services, spanning compute, storage, network, security, mainframe, cloud and data centre operations. Our mission is to ensure that Worldpay's infrastructure remains secure, resilient, scalable and cost-efficient, enabling the business to deliver reliable payment services 24x7, 365 days a year.
Reporting directly to the Global Head of Infrastructure, you will play a pivotal part in delivering one of the most significant infrastructure programs in Worldpay's recent history.
How you will own it:
Worldpay is embarking on a major data centre migration program, exiting its long-standing UKDC2 facility and transitioning critical payment infrastructure to a new hosting location by mid-2028.
As Technology Program Director, you will lead this end-to-end migration, coordinating a complex and multi-disciplinary program that spans infrastructure, network, security, testing, facilities, third-party partners and multiple internal stakeholder groups.
This is a high-visibility, high-impact leadership role responsible for ensuring that Worldpay's migration is delivered safely on time and on budget, while maintaining the resilience and integrity of our payments platform throughout.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Leading the overarching data centre migration program, driving delivery across multiple technology and business domains.
* Establishing and managing program governance to ensure that risks, dependencies and issues are surfaced and resolved proactively.
* Coordinating and aligning activity across key workstreams: Infrastructure (Compute, Storage, Non-Stops, Database), Networks, Physical Security, Facilities, Cyber Security, TSO (production platform owners), CTO (engineering), Testing, Finance/Procurement, 3rd Party Colo Provider, and Migration Partner.
* Holding senior stakeholders to account for milestone delivery, risk ownership, resourcing and readiness.
* Partnering with Finance and Procurement to manage program costs, contracts and vendor performance.
* Overseeing migration planning, execution and testing to ensure a controlled, low-risk transition of critical platforms.
* Providing clear, confident reporting and communication to executive stakeholders.
What you bring:
* Proven experience leading large-scale data centre migration programs spanning multiple technologies and stakeholder groups.
* Strong program governance expertise, with a track record of managing complex dependencies, risks and issues in fast-moving environments.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including engagement with senior technology and business leaders.
* A decisive, assertive and delivery-focused approach, with the confidence to hold others accountable while fostering collaboration.
* Demonstrable experience coordinating internal teams and third-party vendors to deliver against fixed timelines.
* Broad understanding of infrastructure domains including compute, storage, networking, security, and platform operations.
Added bonus if you have:
* Experience delivering programs in highly regulated industries, such as financial services or payments.
* Familiarity with both traditional data centre and hybrid cloud operating models.
* Hands-on involvement in discovery, planning and lift-and-shift execution with third-party migration vendors.
* Experience with public cloud hosting models and integration patterns.
* Strong commercial acumen supporting cost tracking, vendor management and contract governance.
