About Us
Lanman Solar is a forward-thinking renewable energy company making a real and positive impact for families, businesses, and communities cutting costs and their carbon impact.
We've built a reputation for top-quality installations, unbeatable customer service, and a friendly, approachable team — backed by a pure 5-star Google rating and a recent win at the East Anglian Daily Times Business Awards for "Start-Up of the Year".
We're growing fast, and we'd love you to grow with us. If you're joining us at this moment, you have a fantastic opportunity to build your own career and contribute to the business' ongoing success.
Why You'll Love Working Here
* Be part of something positive – your work supports projects that make a real difference to people's living costs, as well as the planet.
* Join a small, supportive team – you'll work closely with management and colleagues who genuinely value your input. You're more than just a number to us – your role will be critical to our business growth and we'll do all we can to support you.
* Room to develop – we'll give you the tools, training (including Big Change CRM and Sage), and encouragement to keep building your skills.
* Friendly, relaxed environment – although we're professional in our approach and have big plans, we're not stuffy or too corporate. Don't worry about having to come into work dressed for an interview every day, we want you to feel comfortable at work in what you wear (no fancy dress outfits though). We also have ample parking spaces which are free to you, which is one less thing to worry about on your commute.
The Role
Reporting to our Operations Manager and working closely with our company owners, you'll be an organised, customer friendly and detail-focused professional – critical to keeping our office operations running smoothly. Often as the first point of contact for customers, suppliers, and the team, you'll also maintain the highest levels of administration to make sure everything behind the scenes runs like clockwork. If you thrive on taking on responsibility and can handle the odd curveball, it's a great starting point for your application.
Your day-to-day will include:
* Managing diaries, scheduling appointments, and coordinating meetings.
* Keeping our Big Change CRM up to date (training provided).
* Answering and making telephone calls with warmth and professionalism.
* Assisting with invoicing, expenses, and other finance tasks using Sage.
* Preparing documents using Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
* Organising and maintaining our filing systems.
* Supporting the wider team with admin as needed.
* Contributing relevant ideas to help us improve.
About You
We'd love to hear from you if you:
* Have previous office administration and customer service experience.
* Are confident using Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
* Are organised, accurate, and can juggle multiple tasks.
* Can handle a variety of conversations with customers, suppliers and colleagues over the telephone.
* Know your way around a CRM/customer database system – and appreciate how important they are.
* Have used financial accounting systems previously – we work with Sage, but other similar systems experience would be great.
If you're looking for a varied admin role where you can make a real difference, learn new skills, and be part of a friendly, award-winning team — we'd love to hear from you.
