Job Title: Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Brighton and surrounding areas Pay Rate: £13.70 - £14.50 per hour Contract: Full-time / Part-time / Supply basis available Start Date: September 2025 Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs? Supply Desk is currently working in partnership with a number of welcoming and inclusive secondary schools across Brighton and the surrounding area, who are looking to appoint dedicated and empathetic SEN Teaching Assistants to join their teams. About the Role: As an SEN TA, you will support students with a range of additional needs including autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health challenges (SEMH). Your role will be pivotal in helping students overcome barriers to learning, both in and outside the classroom. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN Help implement IEPs and EHCPs Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and other support staff Promote independence and emotional well-being in pupils Adapt resources and learning activities to meet individual needs What We’re Looking For: Experience working with children or young people with additional needs (in school or other settings) A patient, caring and flexible approach Strong communication and teamwork skills A genuine passion for supporting students with SEN Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential What We Offer: Competitive pay rates between £13.70 and £14.50 per hour, based on experience A variety of short-term, long-term and day-to-day placements Ongoing professional development and training opportunities A supportive team of education consultants who care about your career Opportunities to work in a range of fantastic schools across the Brighton area Whether you're an experienced SEN TA or just starting out in your education career, we’d love to hear from you.
