We are looking for motivated and dynamic Nursing Support Workers to join our dedicated teams in Withybush General Hospital. Vacancies are available in the following areas:
* Emergency Department
* Ward 1 – Trauma and Orthopaedic ward specialising in trauma and elective procedures
* Ward 4 – Surgical Ward specialising in General and Colorectal
* Ward 7 – Medical ward specialising in Gastroenterology
* Ward 10 – Oncology, Haematology & General Medical
* Ward 11 – Hyper Acute Stroke/Rehabilitation
Main duties of the job
There is an opportunity to learn new skills and gain further experience in caring for acutely unwell patients while developing professionally within a positive and challenging environment. This role will require you to undertake delegated clinical observations, communicate effectively, and manage patient care within a variety of shift patterns to suit service requirements, including days/night rotation.
Language requirements
Welsh Language Level 1 is essential for this role. The Level 1 requirement in our Welsh language matrix includes:
* Pronounce Welsh words, place names, and department names.
* Greet and understand a greeting.
* Use basic everyday words and phrases (e.g., thank you, please, excuse me).
* Understand and pass on simple verbal requests of a routine, familiar, or predictable kind using simple language.
